A New Year

Dad started off the new year with some new blood. Apparently he's not making quite enough of his own, so he needed a transfusion. They think this is another neurological issue (like his body not regulating his blood pressure). Please pray that this will be resolved. Other than that, he looks good and his blood pressure has mostly been responding to the medication to keep it down. The nurse removed his surgery staples over the weekend, so pray that his arm will keep healing and getting stronger.

A new year always seems so clean, so full of promise. To paraphrase Anne Shirley, "The new year is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." We are trying to live in that hopeful place, waiting to see how the promise the new year holds will be fulfilled in Dad's life. He is already a reminder to us all to treasure every precious, loving moment with our friends and family, because no matter how many we have it is never enough. There's a resolution we should all add to our list.

Enjoy your fresh, new year everyone.

Rachael - You are doing an excellent job with the blog! Much appreciated! Have shared it with many other folks....

Everyone - Please tell Leo we hold him (and y'all) in our thoughts and prayers. Only reason we haven't been down is a nasty respiratory bug that seems to be holding on forever - and one you can definitely do without. Will stay in touch. Don and Deb Cobb

Dear Leo and family, I'm sorry I haven't written sooner. I found out about the blog address yesterday from pastor Carlson. I do hope you know how much Leanne and I love you and your family. You are very dear to us. We will, by God's grace, continue to pray for each of you. If there is anything we can do to help be of service, please guys, let us know. We will do our best to be a support.
