Blah

Nothing major to report today. In the early afternoon Dad's blood pressure was quite high (it had been coming down nicely since last week) and he seemed extremely agitated. He had a little bit of a fever, too. Doctor and nurses aren't sure what to make of it, other than it's just his body dealing with the ileus.

Now that his BP is responding to the medication and his temperature is more normal, he's able to communicate a little, but he's still very weak and agitated. But then who wouldn't be if their bowels weren't quite right? (On that note, Dad's stomach is even less distended today and more stuff is getting through, so those are good signs.)

I know these blah days are discouraging to him. They sure are to us! Please pray that his spirits will not sag as he crosses this bump in the road.
