Good advice whether hitchhiking through the galaxy OR waiting for me to post to the blog. :) Sorry I couldn't get anything up yesterday, but I wasn't able to get to a computer.
At any rate, nothing much happened yesterday. The PT did get Dad in a wheelchair and take him down to the therapy room, but he was really too weak to do anything.
Right now, we're still waiting for his body to resolve the ileus. Please, everybody pray for **Warning: turn away sensitive people** poop. That's how they'll know they can start reintroducing liquids. **Sensitive people can tune back in now.**
Overall, Dad's looking pretty good. His blood pressure has been staying in a good range, his small little bedsore is healing, and his range of motion increases daily. I found out today that the rehab specialist had been to see him and feels that Dad is likely to have a good recovery, possibly only unable to get back his fine motor skills. Of course everyone seems to agree that Dad is such a fighter, even that is possible.
On that note, while the occupational therapist was with Dad this morning, she took down the picture we have hanging up in his room of our family. Dad had had a hard time focusing on her or the other things she had brought, but he was well able to focus on our faces. The OT asked, "Is this who you're fighting for?" Nod. She told him he was doing a good job.

Leo, Teddie and family: Great job,
and keep on keeping on. Leo, remember your favorite song of the 1950's? "I'm mister blue, (wah-o-o
ohh), when you say your leaving."
By the: Fleetwoods. Mine was, "Pretty blue eyes." By: Steve
Lawrence. Jerry Atchison's was:
"Blue Moon." By the: Coasters.
Brings back memories, huh? Life
is good and God is good. Hope to
see you in March. I'll keep you posted. Love and Blessings, Russ
